The Coimbatore Province recently marked Environment Day by planting tree saplings in various schools and colleges throughout the area. The first event, led by Mr. Mohan Pathiyal, took place at the Nehru Institute of Technology in Kaliyapiram. Sri Krishna Kumar, the CEO and Secretary of NGI, was the chief guest, and we were honored to have Mr. Padmakumar Nair, the esteemed President of WMC India Region, as the guest of honor. Other notable attendees included Indian Region Province Coordinator Devadas Menon, senior leaders Mr. Bhinu, Mr. Jayakrishnan, and the ladies' wing joint secretary, Mrs. Radhamany Devadas. A vibrant crowd of faculty, teaching staff, and enthusiastic students from NGI joined in the tree planting efforts.
In this event, wheelchairs and sewing machines were distributed to underprivileged individuals as part of a meaningful community service initiative. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Surendran Kannat, Sunny Valiyat, Padmakumar Nair, and K. P. U. Ali.
