The Coimbatore Province of WMC Indian Region recently marked Environment Day by planting tree saplings in various schools and colleges throughout the area.

The first event, led by Mr. Mohan Pathiyal, took place at the Nehru Institute of Technology in Kaliyapiram. Sri Krishna Kumar, the CEO and Secretary of NGI, was the chief guest, and the event was graced by Mr. Padmakumar Nair, the esteemed President of WMC India Region, as the guest of honor.

Other notable attendees included Indian Region Province Coordinator Devadas Menon, senior leaders Mr. Bhinu, Mr. Jayakrishnan, and the Ladies Wing Joint Secretary, Mrs. Radhamany Devadas. A vibrant crowd of faculty, teaching staff, and enthusiastic students from NGI joined in the tree-planting efforts.

In a meaningful community service initiative, the WMC Indian Region distributed wheelchairs and sewing machines to underprivileged individuals at Hotel East Avenue, Kozhikode.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Surendran Kannat, Sunny Valiyat, Padmakumar Nair, and K. P. U. Ali. The programme aimed to empower differently-abled community members and women from marginalised backgrounds by providing essential mobility aids and livelihood tools.

Special appreciation was extended to Noushad Areekode and his team for their exceptional dedication in making this impactful initiative a success.

WMC Indian Region actively supported students and families during the school reopening season through a community welfare programme across multiple provinces.

The initiative focused on ensuring that children from less privileged families could begin the new academic year with the necessary resources, reflecting the council's continued commitment to education and community welfare.
